I'm a big fan of Parks and Recreation, especially Ron Swanson. Do you ever notice that rusty sculpture thing in the corner of his office? Well, I always do so I finally looked it up and found out that it's actually an anti-tank obstacle from WWII (makes even more sense for Ron's office) called a Czech Hedgehog.

I've been really busy lately but in between everything else I managed to weld up a quick miniature one out of angle iron and steel scraps I had laying around my workbench. I painted it with rusty metal primer and sprayed it with pool acid and water to speed up corrosion. This is the first time I've made something purely decorative, (even pillows have a purpose) but I've been obsessing about the geometry and rustic look of that thing since I've been watching the show. If it's good enough for Ron Swanson's office, it's good enough for the house. Video link compliments of Roxy :)
