Hairpin Scrapwood bench

I helped a friend make a bench as a wedding gift for her brother. We used narrow pieces of different wood scrap glued together. We used the hairpin legs we made a while back for the legs.

so the wood are just glued together and everything is still intact after many sit-downs? i love the idea but i feel like i would break it if i sat on it. is it that strong? i like to try this out, looks very nice.

Wood glue is incredibly strong if you have a nice joint and it’s clamped properly. Good luck!
